JOB FAIRS

Bútorszövetség állásbörze 2016

With the job fair, we seek to create a professional forum where companies can identify talent, get to know students and their work, and start nurturing future professionals.

In February 2016, a number of woodworking companies were able to meet hundreds of graduating woodworking professionals concurrently at a joint event organised by the Furniture Association and the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BKIK).

In May and December 2016, the University of Sopron provided an opportunity for managers and employees of domestic companies, as potential employers and future employees, to meet students of the University of Sopron, Simonyi Károly Faculty (SKK) in order to interact directly with each other, exchange experiences and learn about each other's plans and expectations, and to brainstorm project ideas and projects.

Cooperating with the Budapest Workshop Foundation, the BKSZC's Kozma Lajos Woodworking Secondary School offered an opportunity in February 2017 to present woodworking companies and to participate in a job fair held in the fashion of speed dating. Woodworking technicians and interior designers graduating from the Kozma School in 2017, as well as students who have graduated as woodworking technicians in the past years and graduates from the Sopron Woodworking University were invited to the event.

HUNGEXPO Zrt. organised a CONSTRUMA job fair and workshop for students between 5 and 9 April 2017 with support from RANDSTAD. Hundreds of students from the wood industry attended the event, where they were taught how to write a proper CV, how to advocate for themselves in a salary negotiation, what to expect at a job interview or how different their lives will be after they start working, and in what areas.
