The Hungarian Furniture and Wood Industry Association (Fabunio) seeks to exert a positive impact on the future of the sector in the long term, guided by professional principles. As a result of the developments, Fabunio’s membership base and advocacy capacity will be expanded. The Association organises informational events for its members, further deepens cooperation with its existing international partners, and, through the involvement of new employees, contributes to more efficient sectoral information flow.
In order to strengthen its advocacy capacity and promote international networking, two staff members will participate on two occasions in international professional meetings and study visits within the framework of the existing cooperation with the Italian organisation FederlegnoArredo. Employees will also take part in leadership and management competence development trainings. Within the project framework, Fabunio will provide training opportunities for its member organisations as well. In addition, the implementation of three events aimed at informing the membership is planned.
The project is implemented at the Hungarian Furniture and Wood Industry Association’s headquarters located on Krisztina Boulevard in Budapest, with nationwide scope, within the framework of the Széchenyi Plan Plus programme, and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2028.
The awarded grant represents a significant milestone in the life of the Hungarian Furniture and Wood Industry Association.
